Founder and CTO
Responsible for the development of Visiting Aid’s infrastructure, Alex has implemented new and efficient technology solutions to help providers verify and bill for the delivery of home care services. Growing up in the Soviet Union, Alex came to the United States and has worked in big data applications for large fortune 500 companies for over 20 years. With relevant experience and a passion for disruptive technology, one could say he's been living the dream at Visiting Aid.
Jill Perlmutter-Behrens
Co-Founder and COO
Jill has become a household name amongst our customers! Working in the Home Care space for over 30 years, she has a vast expertise in Administration, Clinical Operations, State Compliance and Human Resources. A Long Island native, Jill spends her free time with family and friends cooking gourmet meals , hosting pool parties and entertaining, if you’re lucky she’ll take you out on her boat for a relaxing afternoon!
Ann Gemerek
Director of Client Success
Ann is a Registered Nurse and healthcare operations leader with over 30 years of home care management and clinical experience. She has led multiple EMR implementations, improving efficiency and compliance through technology. Known for her collaborative leadership, Ann bridges clinical, operational, and technical teams to achieve successful EMR adoption. She lives in Western New York with her husband and border collie, Teaga, and enjoys traveling, cooking, games, concerts, and cheering for the Buffalo Bills.
Akil Shabazz
VP Sales
Akil Shabazz is a Client Success and Sales professional with over 15 years of experience in healthcare technology and homecare. He excels at building relationships, simplifying complex processes, and delivering impactful client solutions. Known for his collaborative approach and clear communication, Akil drives trust, efficiency, and long-term success. He holds an Associate degree in History from Hampton University and is dedicated to helping organizations grow through stronger connections and exceptional service.
Aleksey Semenov
Marketing Director
Aleksey Semenov leads our marketing team with a passion for connecting brands with their audiences in meaningful ways. As Marketing Director, his extensive background includes brand strategy, digital marketing, and demand generation. Alexey has a proven track record of developing and executing campaigns that boost brand visibility and drive significant market growth. Powered by strategy, espresso, and the occasional bad joke, he’s still waiting for his coffee machine to follow him on LinkedIn.
Aziz Ullah
VP of Engineering
Aziz is an EDI specialist at Visiting Aid and has been involved in the healthcare technology space for over 8 years. Holding a degree in Computer Science from 2012 Aziz has since built practice management software solutions as well as clearing house products within the healthcare industry. Visiting Aid has been his most hands-on venture as he will help initiate new products and more efficient billing practices for Home Care providers.
Alan Matviienko
Mobile App. Engineering
Alan is a Graduate of Berdyansk Pedagogical State University with a Masters Degree in Computer Science and English. With an in-depth knowledge of native android/iOS development, Flutter and Xamarin cross platform mobile development, Alan is helping streamline the EVV process for caregivers out in the field. Alan loves to drive competitively, which explains why he's never late to the office.
George Sahakyan
Staff Engineer/Architect
George is a frontlead developer at Visiting Aid, graduating from The Armenian State University of Economics. He started coding at an early age and since joining Visiting Aid is our youngest rising superstar developer. After accepting his role, his email response was this “I want to build something interesting, something disruptive” and that's what he's on track to do.
Vardan Ghazaryan
Staff Engineer/Architect
Vardan is a backend developer at Visiting Aid and a graduate of The National Polytechnic University of Armenia. Passionate about problem-solving and clean architecture, Vardan quickly became known for his precision and innovative thinking. Since joining Visiting Aid, he’s been instrumental in optimizing our systems for performance and scalability. When asked about his motivation, he said, “I don’t just write code — I build solutions that last.”
Haroon Rashid
Senior Database Administrator
Senior Database Administrator with extensive experience in the Home Care and Medical Billing industry. Skilled in database development, optimization, and security, he has led major projects including Medical Billing & EDI (837/835), State Aggregator Systems, HR & Payroll, Reservation Systems, and Inventory Management. With over 25 years of IT leadership.
Shoaib Latif
Software Engineer / EDI Specialist
Shoaib is a Computer Science graduate experienced in healthcare technology, specializing in EDI, Practice Management Systems, Clearinghouse solutions, and Home Care platforms. At Visiting Aid, he streamlines EDI processes and billing while developing new features as a software engineer and providing technical support. This has been his most engaging role as he continues to deliver innovative solutions that make healthcare software more efficient for providers.
Saad Rasool
Software Engineer / Technical Support
Saad is a Computer Science graduate with 4 years of professional experience in healthcare technology. At VisitingAid, he has contributed to developing new features, integrating third-party services to automate processes, and managing data onboarding for agency integrations. He also provides technical support, ensuring smooth operations and reliable solutions for providers. This role has been one of his most rewarding experiences, giving him the opportunity to deliver innovative solutions that make healthcare software more efficient.
Outside of work, Saad enjoys traveling and exploring new places, especially the peaceful atmosphere of mountainous regions.
Kashif Raza
Software Engineer / Technical Support
Kashif is a Software Engineer at Visiting Aid with a background in Information Technology. He is maintaining and enhancing a web-based home care application for agencies across New York State, with a strong focus on reporting modules, database management, and end-to-end feature development. He also provides technical support to ensure smooth functionality and a seamless user experience.
Outside of work, Kashif enjoys playing cricket and volleyball.
